Alex Azar is the former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. Currently, Azar is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami Herbert Business School and a trustee of the Aspen Institute, the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Future of Health Care Advisory Group, the advisory board of the National Institute for Healthcare Management Foundation, and the Healthcare Leadership Council. He was the architect of Operation Warp Speed, which delivered COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics in record time. Azar previously served as president of Lilly USA, LLC, the largest affiliate of Eli Lilly and Company. Before his tenure at Lilly, Azar was deputy secretary and general counsel of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
